The church is - as the only Spanish cathedral - one UNESCO's World Heritage List without belonging to a city (this is the case of other Spanish UNESCO cathedrals like Santiago de Compostela, Ávila, Córdoba, Toledo and Cuenca) The church contains important art works by the Flemish sculptors Gil de Siloé and Martín de la Haya.
